OLF have been retained to undertake the Main Contract and a full Construction Management service on this very challenging new build project within a very restricted site. The construction works we have undertaken include the total demolition of a house built through a small mews and the excavation of a two storey basement across the whole plot. We used Geiken piling to maximise the size of the underground area and top down construction to maximise the speed of the build.

The new basement extension includes a 14 metre swimming pool, gymnasium, games room, staff quarters, cinema and extensive wine cellar. The basement structural works were programmed so that the steel frame of the house above ground could be installed at the same time as the extension was being excavated below. This has lead to significant time being saved.

OLF are working with the architects and the client to complete a very modern interior to the highest possible standard. The house is made up of a lot of glass. There are large glass walls, doors, skylights, water features, stairs and windows. The tolerances being worked to are minimal. OLF have completed all of the setting out and ensure that all the exacting standards are achieved.
